Preform your own Skin Analysis

To determine the type of skin you have, you must complete a Skin Analysis. The overall appearance of your skin will define your skin type.  When analyzing your skin, there are a few questions you should asked yourself. These questions will help identify the key skin factors for which you should be looking.

After washing with your current product (Do not Moisturize)  ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Does your skin feel tight though your forehead?
  2. Does your skin feel “ashy” around your month?
  3. Within 30 minutes to an hour, is your skin shiny?
  4. Does your cheeks feel drier than the rest of your face?
  5. Does your skin look red or blotchy?
  6. Does your skin ever itchy with your products?
  7. Do you have lots of wrinkles around your eyes, mouth, or forehead?
  8. Are your pores large? Can you easily see them, particularly in your cheek area?

There are 5 types of Skin : Normal, Dry, Combination, Oily and Sensitive Learn the Best way to Treat your Skin here

Regardless of what specific type you are there are some basic things that should be apart of every Skin Care Regimen

These tips will help your skin stay healthier no matter its type.

  • Use a broad spectrum sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Avoid direct sunlight and wear a hat and sunglasses. Mary Kay offers multiple sunscreen options, however, I use the Day Time Solution of the Miracle Set. I love it because it is light and not oily.
  • Don't smoke.
  • Stay hydrated.- Your Skin is an Organ in your body that is 70% Water. If you have dry skin you need more than 8 glasses of water a day. You can tell that you need more water in your body when you lips are dry.
  • Wash your skin thoroughly every day (twice a day)  and Never Wear Makeup to Bed.
  • Moisturize your skin after each wash. Moisturizer is the BEST thing you can do for your skin.
  • Limit toxins - Alcohol and Caffeine dehydrate your body. For every 1 (one) of these types of drinks you have, drink a glass of water to keep the hydration balance.
