I know I preach it, but it is so important to take care of yourself. Self love is one of the things I feel like is misunderstood in that people sometimes feel like it can means that you are selfish. In reality true self love and appreciation is means of selflessness. When we love ourselves, we are better prepared to care for others. We cannot be the best mother, friend, wife, co-worker, etc if you cannot or refuse to repair the most important relationship. The relationship with ourselves. You cannot begin to save someone else from drowning unless you first know how to swim.
Time, we can all agree it is it one of the most valuable commodities we have in this life. Once it is gone, it is gone. I try so hard to make sure I am spending my time wisely. Technology is wonderful, however, it can sometimes be a distraction from what needs your focus at the given moment.
It is as if Facebook has trained up to respond to every single message that pops up. And boy, it can suck you in. Why is it that when you have intended to just answer an email from the school teacher it turns into 30 minutes of randomly browsing the web.

3 Easy Ways to Get Rid of Distractions
I have to be honest, my round two of the 21 Day Fix hasn't gone been successful- last week I missed two days of working out and didn't adhere to the meal plan. I ate Grandma's cookies and Jimmy John's sandwiches all of which were delicious. I haven't been getting up and working out and have been struggling to work out everyday so far this week. Now that I am 10lbs down it is as if I am giving myself a pass to fall back into bad habits. So before I get two deep into this, I realized I needed to stop and make some clear goals with reasons why I need to keep going.
I started the Beach Body 21 Day Fix on 9/7/2015, as of 9/28/2015, I am officially done with my first full round. I am a very results driven person and because of the results that I got out of this program, I will do it again and recommend it to everyone person on the planet! If you follow the workout and meal plan, you will loose weight, period.

Ok it has been 14 days sense I started this journey. I am so happy I did! I cannot tell you how surreal it is to hear me say that none the less actually put it in to writing. I genuinely hate working out. It is the last thing I ever want to do. I am the type of person that is a true convenience whore. I will pay for VIP seating and valet parking. It drives my husband absolutely insane, but it truly is who I am at heart. I am all about the fast and easy as long as in my mind it is still efficient. VIP Seating means I can still wear my killer cute heels and be comfortable and valet means I will stay dry and safe while leaving an event. Anyway...I digress. Working out is the one place where there is not a more convenient way to do it. You just have to do the work, period.
However, I did find convenience in the #21DayFix. Although the workouts are intense, I like to know I can work really hard for a short time and get a big impact.
On 9/7/2015 I decided I was going to get serious about losing weight. I had been kicking it around in my head for a while, you know the conversation: Me to Myself: "I am getting older and I really need to start taking my health seriously. After all my I have a long history of heart disease and my mother recently had a stroke." I just so happened to be watching regular TV, you know, not Netflix or Hulu, but regular broadcast television with commercials and everything. I saw this information on Beach Body's 21 Day Fix and I could not stop thinking about it. Of coarse, I only watched about 10 minutes before I turned the channel, but what I saw made alot of sense.
I just kept having this lingering though even though, I was already working out 2 hours a week and I wasn't eating terribly bad. However, I needed direction to really tackle my weight. I set a goal to lose 15lbs. Honestly, I need to lose about 20 to be in the appreciate BMI, but I like to have a bit of curve to my shape. I knew I needed something, and when I saw the infomercial I knew the 21 day Fix was for me. Why, How?
Why I Chose the 21 Day Fix to help me meet my Goal
Yes, it is a series of exercise videos and yes they tell you what your modified meal plan should be, but the difference was they did the measuring for me. I didn't have to weigh anything or count calories. I simply picked from a list of food types (meat, veggies, fruit, fats, etc) and fill the appropriate container for that day. It seemed really easy and I wanted to try it. It also came with a variety of videos so you don't get board, and a plan outing what video to do on each day of the 21 days. It just takes all the thinking out of it. I spoke with David, my husband and he purchased it for me as a surprise. I am a really decisive person. Which can be a blessing and a curse, means I am stubborn but I don't waste time. When I spend money on something I use it. So he knew it would be money well spent. Upon arrival I was super excited, but I made sure to pump the brakes and map out my plan of attack.
SET UP FOR SUCCESS
First, I studied the Meal Plan and created a weekly menu to the "T"! Then, I went grocery shopping to make sure I didn't have any reason to deviate. Unless you purchaseextra containers, which I did, it is difficult to package your entire days meal in advance. Prepackaging takes away the thinking when you go to grab something to eat. Your healthy choice is already there waiting for you. I committed to precooking meats weekly (Gotta LOVE the CrockPot) and packaging my daily snacks & lunches nightly Next, I committed to doing the workouts first thing in the morning. I seriously hate to start, but love the way I feel when I am done with a work out...
