Beach Body 21 Day Fix - Round 2 Get Motivated - Get Fit

I have to be honest, my round two of the  21 Day Fix  hasn't gone been successful- last week I missed two days of working out and didn't adhere to the meal plan. I ate Grandma's cookies and Jimmy John's sandwiches all of which were delicious. I haven't been getting up and working out and have been struggling to work out everyday so far this week.  Now that I am 10lbs down it is as if I am giving myself a pass to fall back into bad habits. So before I get two deep into this, I realized I needed to stop and make some clear goals with reasons why I need to keep going. 

​How to Recover from an Epic Fail

So many times when we are failing at something the urge to quit is overwhelming and we give in. If you have been following this blog for any period of time you know I hate working out. I am a convenience whore and I working out & eating right is the one area where only hard work prevails.  There aren't any short cuts.
My first goal when I started my first round of the 21 Day Fix  to lose 10lbs, which I did, and I am so proud of myself.

Now that my clothes are fitting better, I find myself making excuses > You know them, oh I don't have time to grocery shop so I will just eat whatever or I worked out really hard yesterday so I don't need to today or I can have those cookies, I will just work out again today. It is as if the achievement of one goal is an excuse to not meet the next goal.  So how do I plan to do better? 

​Step 1 : Decide to Make a Change

Today I make the commitment to follow the 21 day Fix for the next 3 weeks.

 I am not going to give into my cravings to eat random foods that do not fit into my meal plan.

I will work out per the schedule everyday. I will tell everyone that I am working with what my goals are to encourage them to encourage me.

​ I need the positive feed back!

Step 2: Implement the Change

My plan to implement my new found commitment is as follows: 
  1. Wake up no later than 5:15 am - I have build myself some allowance. The goal is to get up by 5:00 am however, sometimes I just need to hit the snooze. 
  2. Grocery shop weekly to ensure I don't have the excuse to "eat whatever". I will also have two weekly meal plans. I have a very lean menu that was wonderful for the first round, however, for round two I need way more choices. I don't want to get board with my food.

Step 3: Remember Why You made the Change

When I want to give up, I will try to remember why I even started. 
  1. My mother had a stroke and it was life changing. I want to properly fuel my body to lesson my chances of repeating this tragedy. 
  2. As I age, my body aches from my currently very stationary job, exercising is the only thing that helps me muscles relax that is for the most part free.
  3. I have a full life ahead of me and I need the energy to keep up with my Dancing Daughter. 
  4. I don't have money to buy new larger sized clothes so I have to work with what I have. 
  5. I want to be as cute as I can be, in my mind, a six pack is apart of that.. even if it means my booty will be smaller.
